Love is the driving force behind everything God does, and Jesus demonstrated this throughout His ministry.
In *Matthew 14:14* it says, *”When Jesus landed and saw a large crowd, he had compassion on them and healed their sick.”
His healing was motivated by compassion, not to prove that He was the Messiah, nor to show off. Jesus never performed miracles to draw attention to Himself, but rather to express God’s love and care for the people.
Therefore, once a month, we hold a healing and anointing service, dedicated to praying for individuals experiencing physical or emotional challenges.
Throughout the week leading up to the service, we dedicate significant time to prayer, with an extended session of intercessory prayer on the Friday before the event. It is important to note that we do not claim to heal people ourselves; rather, we pray in obedience to James 5:14-15:
“Is anyone among you sick? Let them call the elders of the church to pray over them and anoint them with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise them up. If they have sinned, they will be forgiven.”
We trust in God’s power to heal, save, and deliver, and have faith that He will act according to His will.
